The Complete UL Listed, One-Key Fire Department Emergency Access System.
Fire departments across the country use the Knox System to prevent costly forced entry damage while protecting property and lives. In it's simplest form, Knox key boxes hold building entrance keys. Larger Knox systems can hold electronic access cards and vital emergency information. A Knox key switch or padlocks could provide fire department access through property gates.
As the property owner, you purchase a KNOX-BOX device, place your property key inside, and mount the box near your building entrance or property gate according to fire department guidelines. Should an emergency occur, Firefighters can then use a unique high security Knox Master Key to open your KNOX-BOX device and retreive your property key.
Still concerned about security? Access to the Master Key is controlled by a secure keypad in our "First Out" trucks which requires two firefighters to enter their personal PIN before opening. Each time the Master Key box is opened an event is recorded electronically containing the time, date and firefighter codes that opened it.
Contact Gentry Fire Department (479-736-9976 or admin@gentryfire.org) to start the process of getting your own Knox-Box device or for more information have a look at this PDF.
